Stage 1 - Nomination
 
A school, league or other organization nominates an outstanding youth that has demonstrated exceptional personal growth as a result of his/her involvement with the nominating organization.

Nominations can be completed online or mailed to:

Each organization can nominate up to three candidates

Timelines:  The nomination process will continue throughout the year.  By December 1st of each year, all nominee forms must be received at TSS Corporate Headquarters for consideration of the preceding 12 months.
 
 
 
Stage 2 - Application
 
The J.O.Y. Chairman will send a letter along with an application to each nominee.

All nominees must provide the following to be considered:

  1. Completed Application
  2. 1000 words or less essay.  The essay should explain how your involvement with  your local organization has contributed toward your growth as an individual in a group environment and why you feel you deserve the award
  3. 2 written recommendations.  One from and organization official and one from another individual (10 years old or older) giving their opinion on why you deserve the award.

The application, essay and recommendations must be completed and received at TSS Corporate Headquarters, postmarked by December 15th.

TSS HQ will notify the nominee when their application has been received.

 
 
 
Stage 3 - Selection
 
The J.O.Y. award committee will make their final selections based on the following formula:

50% Written Essay (1000 Words or Less)
50% Recommendation by Organization Officials (coaches, team moms, etc)
 
 
Stage 4 - Award
 
The J.O.Y. winners will be announced by February 1st of the following year.  Each winner will be contacted and an official award presentation will be schedule with your local TSS Franchise.

A $200 check will be awarded to recipient and a check for $200 will be paid to the winner's nominating organization.
